The jobs they did where very important but usually not talked about. The Native American women usually did all the stuff with the hides, they scraped out the insides cleaned the fur and then tanned the fur. They also made sure nothing would hurt the fur or ruin it. They also stretched the hides and made sure they would be really stretched out. They also did many things through out the house like cleaning and washing cloths. They cooked, smoked and dryed meat wich was a very boring and nasty job because you had to stand in a smokey room and hang up the meat and make sure no stuff was on them. They even have to do  costuction on the canoes. They are the ones who usually finish the canoes by gumming and stiching the pieces together. In the end the Indians do more than they need to around the village.
