Jobs of the Native American Women are...

The roles and jobs they played where very important but usually unspoken of. The Native American women usually did all the work with the hides, they scraped out the guts cleaned the fur and tanned the fur they also made sure nothing would ruin the fur or damage it. They also stretched the hids and made sure they would be as big as possible. They also did many house hold things like cleaning washing cloths and watching the children. They cooked and smoked and dryed meat wich was a very displeasing task because you had to stand in a smokey room and hang up the meat and make sure no fur was on them. They even do some costuction with the canoes, they are the ones who usually finish the canoes by gumming and stiching the pieces together. So all in all the Native American women do more than their fair share of chores around the hut.
