There where lots of canoes usd by the voyaguers some are the Northern Canoe the Montreal Canoe and the Ojibway Canoe. The first but the largest is the Montreal Canoe it is 35-40 feet long can hold from  8-16 people and weighs  600 lbs. This canoe can hold up to 8000 lbs in people and stuff,  used for fur trade between Grand Portage and areas east of that like Montreal. The next canoe  is the  North Canoe , it is around 20 feet long and can hold from 2-6 people and weighs about 300 lbs about half of the Montreal canoe. This canoe can hold like 3000 lbs of stuff and can go through small rivers north of Grand Portage.  The Hivernants usually use the Northern Canoe in the nothern Native American camps to deliver the goods that the voyaguers brought to Grand Portage. The last but not the least canoe is the Ojibway Canoe , it can hold up to like 2 people and is  around 12 feet long. This canoe is only about 200 lbs but can still hold about 2000 lbs of people and stuff. In the end these canoes can be used in a lot of differnt ways.
